Summary
The Supply Chain College Co-op is open to qualified and highly committed students enrolled in college located locally to the Hemlock Semiconductor site. It allows the selected student to work side-by-side with skilled supply chain professionals, engineers, and procurement team members to assist with inventory management, purchase requisitioning, and procedural updates. This role is a year-round position while the student is simultaneously taking classes.
Essential Functions
The student will be assigned tasks and projects based on their education level, current skills, and targeted development opportunities in line with current business and project needs. This can include:
- Developing an understanding of supply chain and broader HSC processes
- Updating and distributing supply chain and finishing work instruction documentation
- Monitoring purchase requisition mailbox and entering purchase requisitions into SAP
- Completing goods receipt reversals to allow price corrections
- Supply chain data collection and recording to support area Production Planners and Schedulers
- Inventory management and organizational support for warehouse inventory accuracy and improvements
- Participating on project teams for developing and implementing improvements

- Knowledge / Expertise in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams)

Education Requirements
- High School diploma
- Preferred field of study: Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Procurement, or Information Systems.
Required Work Experience
- Candidate must be attending a local 2-year college or 4-year university.
- Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during the Fall and Winter semesters.
- Must have a minimum cumulative 2.70 GPA or higher to be part of the co-op program.
- Candidate must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours and not more than 28 hours during Fall and Winter school semesters. Summers could be up to 40 hours per week if a business need exists.
- Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship.
- Work environment is primarily in an office setting with a small percentage of time spent in the manufacturing areas of the plant. Mobility to various work/manufacturing areas is required.
Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, variable bonus, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
