Summary
The Reliability Engineer Valve Specialist is responsible for maximizing asset availability and cost efficiency as the technical owner of all plant valving equipment. They will use reliability techniques to improve availability, drive defect and failure elimination, and optimize maintenance cost. They will be aligned to Plant Engineering and responsible for ensuring valve technologies are current and appropriate for all the various applications. They will be a Subject Matter Expert for the valve commodity and work with both Engineering and Production teams on technical and point-of-work mentoring, coaching, and oversight to manage maintenance and reliability performance and effectiveness.
Essential Functions

Manage Valve Specification Database to be an evergreen technical reference to best valve technology by application

Compile and maintain a prioritized opportunity list for the valve commodity to be used as input into Capital and Expense planning.

Provide technical expertise reference for Troubleshooting, RCIs, Project Design, Maintenance/TAR Plans, etc. Lead critical RCIs

Ensure stocked materials (MRO) for valves is adequate and appropriate

Develop technical relationships with valve equipment manufacturers to drive improvements and application of new technologies

Support recovery from physical asset upsets as requested by Production leadership.

Provide stakeholders with visibility of maintenance cost and reliability performance of valve commodity assets

Coordinate with Procurement efforts for valve sourcing availability, cost, and lead time efforts

Minimum Required Education/Certification
- Required: Bachelor of Science in Engineering
Required Work Experience
- 6+ years of experience within manufacturing or engineering organization, or 3+ years if mixed HSC experience.
- Preference: 5+ years of experience in a reliability or mechanical discipline
Physical Requirements
The range for this position is $97,360.00 - $133,870.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, variable bonus, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
