Summary

Executes day-to-day approval process for finished products using quality control procedures. This involves verifying all purity measurement data and coordinating the material flow with the Marketing, Shipping, Logistics CVD, and Finishing areas. Also responsible for monitoring the quality of intermediate and sales grade chemicals for the HSC site. Job impacts product quality aspects of all major HSC customers. Also responsible for managing new material workflows and customer requirements including customer reports. Provide customer administrative assistance to the Quality Assurance Department. The position requires interaction with other departments and with external customers.

Essential Functions

  • -Coordinates the final lot approval process and assures the verification of all purity measurement data. Authorizes additional testing needed in the approval process for polysilicon and chemical material. Responsible for day-to-day quality results for all products. Communicates quality performance, using appropriate reporting for materials to the site, the HSC Quality Improvement Team (QIT) and key customers as needed.
  •  Assures that measurements, monitoring, and reporting is maintained on all product parameters as indicated on customer specifications. This includes KIC and washed product surface impurities and product size distribution audits. Understands the work flow of product testing and finishing, along with testing’s online status. 
  • Provides assistance in the prioritization of the testing schedules and activities based on polysilicon finishing workflow and customer supply demands.
  •  Facilitates the PCN and MRB disposition of non-conforming lots. Provide workflow expertise and problem solving skills for troubleshooting polysilicon and chemical quality workflow issues.
  • Coordinates special testing efforts for the qualification of new or existing process additions and changes. Assures compliance to internal and external polysilicon and chemical specifications
  • Is responsible for the Customer Product Return Process that works within the MRB disposition guidelines.
  •  Is responsible for creating the customer monthly reports, weekly and monthly quality reports.
  •  Is responsible for quality impact verification on MOCs. In addition to that, provides support with new material setups, workflows, updates to the Analytical Technician poly and chemical approval criteria, product spec routings and batch derivations.
  •  Provides direction and prioritization for QA testing group as needed to ensure testing and movement of material in the manufacturing operations.
  •  Process customer specific requirements, supplier quality manuals, score cards, assessments, per customer changes and internal requests and manage master files.
  • Process customer notifications.
  • Process internal and external waivers.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Department, by providing the following support:
  • Process Certificate of Analysis
  •  Assist managing QA Department and Quality System folders, files, and documentation
  • Develop and maintain Sharepoint environment for QA and Quality Management System files and folders.
  •  Quality Assurance departmental documentation folders. - Maintaining outlook distribution lists.
  •  Support HSC’s Outlook folders by having the permission level of “owner”. Key contact for granting employee permissions.
  • Quality Assurance departmental documents including forms, procedures, organizational chart, essential records, quality records, and controlled documents.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain department procedures. - Act as departmental IAM Administrator and perform record retention tasks.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Review and reports on data anomalies in the customer Bulk Purity charts and Purity control charts.
  •  Responsible as a back-up approval for customer C of C’s, C of A’s for polysilicon.
  •  Involved in various cross -functional activities that may include; safety activities, records management, ISO compliance, development of department procedures and reporting of quality performance objectives.
  • Assists in investigation of out of control issues and authors out of control reports.
  • Perform special projects as needed by AR&D department.
  •  This position is accountable for accuracy and confidentiality of documents prepared.
  • Supports customer audits/visits as needed.

Education Requirements

  • Technical degree preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

Work Experience

  • Three years experience at Hemlock Semiconductor, with a working knowledge of polysilicon production and testing.
