Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for an organization of 600+ people and reports directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing. They will be accountable for overseeing the day-to-day operations of finishing production to ensure efficiency, quality, safety, cost, and culture of their organization.

 

In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to a culture of continuous improvement and process rigor; coordinate with engineering and other staff functions to achieve plant cost, quality and other business objectives while meeting all safety, health, and environmental requirements. You will manage various resources such as people, equipment, materials, information, and time.

 

This role leads the downstream manufacturing processes, including product finishing, packaging, and inventory flow. This role focuses on delivering finished polysilicon that meets customer specifications, while driving operational efficiency, safety, and employee engagement across the finishing team.

Essential Functions

  • HSC Leadership Team: Actively participate in HSC leadership team to define and implement strategies to sustain HSC long term success.
  • Production Planning and Scheduling: Lead team members to meet the production plan through disciplined and consistent operation of production processes. Understands and manages production workflows to optimize resource utilization and meet production targets. 
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Develop safety culture to maintain operational discipline and effective peer to peer intervention. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety. 
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Ensure costs, both fixed and variable, are well understood and efficiently managed. Manage production budgets and expenses to ensure cost-effective operations. 
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet specifications and regulatory standards. 
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve production processes and optimize efficiency. 
  • Team Development: Lead and motivate production teams to achieve production goals while maintaining high morale and employee engagement. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to develop team members and improve overall performance. 
  • Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination between different departments within the organization, including production, engineering, quality assurance, HR, and logistics. Ensure alignment of goals and priorities to support overall business objectives.

Required Work Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a technical leadership roles.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred

The range for this position is $138,000 - $205,000 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, variable bonus, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
