Summary

The Plant Reliability Engineer- Analyzer Specialist is responsible for maximizing the reliability and on-line time of plant assets related to process analyzing equipment in the plant. They will be aligned to Production and responsible for driving defect elimination using Root Cause Analysis skills and techniques to accomplish this task. They will work with the Plant Engineering Team Leader, Metrology Team, and Midland Plant Team on both technical and point of work mentoring, coaching, and oversight to manage maintenance and reliability performance for gas chromatographs, ICP-MS, FTIR’s, Photometers, Chlorine and Silica analyzers, and various monitors for Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Freon, HCL, HF, TOC’s and particle counters.

Essential Functions

• Ensures availability of physical assets. Drives recovery from upsets.
• Monitors, reports, and responds to defined reliability KPIs.
• Verifies the effectiveness of maintenance performed preventative maintenance. Reviews technical findings and adjusts long-term plans accordingly.
• Leads Level 0-1 root cause investigations.
• Participates in project and Management of Change reliability reviews.
• Maintains and drafts new analyzer SMP’s and SOP’s.
• Drafts and owns MOC’s for analyzer reliability improvements.
• Designs sample systems for online process analyzers.
• Supports the definition and implementation of maintain and reliability improvement projects within defined workflows

• Member of the Emergency Management Team as assigned.
• Commodity program leader as assigned.

Minimum Required Work Experience

• 10+ years if non degreed but experience is applicable to the role
• Individual holding Bachelor’s degree with an interest in Chemistry and willingness to learn role

Environment/Working Conditions

• Chemical Plant environment in manufacturing areas and maintenance shop with exposure to all types of climate and weather conditions
• Lab environment or setting as needed

Minimum Required Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree with applicable experience or 10+ years of applied experience with the equipment specified in job summary.

 

The range for this position is  $97,360.00 - $133,870.00  assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, variable bonus, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
