Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Co-op is open to qualified and highly committed students enrolled in college located locally to the Hemlock Semiconductor site. It allows the selected student to work side-by-side with engineers and skilled professionals to assist with testing and implementing a manufacturing execution system. This role is a year-round position while the student is simultaneously taking classes.

Essential Functions

The student will be assigned tasks and projects based on their education level, current skills, and targeted development opportunities in line with current business and project needs. This can include:

  • Developing an understanding of the manufacturing processes
  • Updating and distributing operational documentation
  • Evaluating system performance via end-to-end testing and communicating status
  • Participating on project teams for developing and implementing improvements

Required Experience

•    Candidate must be attending a local college or university pursuing a STEM degree with preference given to engineering, Information Systems, or Supply Chain
•    Minimum cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scale (no rounding)
•    Candidate must be able to work 15-24 hours per week when school is in session and up to 40 hours per week in the summer

Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, variable bonus, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
