Summary
The Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader is responsible for the application of functional excellence by manufacturing engineers to ensure that the process capabilities of the site are effectively managed and maintained. The position collaborates with the respective technology Production Leaders to define and prioritize continuous improvement projects to meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements as well as process throughput, quality, and efficiency improvements. This role provides critical oversight for all aspects of the respective technology performance including Safety & Environment, Quality, Reliability, Production, and Productivity.
Essential Functions
- Provide strategic organizational support for the respective technology Production Leaders to safely and efficiently meet the site production plan as well as future defect elimination planning and coordination.
- Drive continuous improvement of process performance metrics and their utilization by manufacturing engineering to effectively monitor and optimize manufacturing process performance.
- Guide or support career/professional development for Manufacturing Engineers.
- Ensure effective management of change.
- Ensure core standards of performance are maintained.
Additional Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with counterpart in the other technology areas to ensure consistency in and sharing of best practices.
- Lead or delegate the implementation of identified continuous improvement projects.
- Utilize Project Portfolio Management Process
- Embrace and utilize LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Lead or facilitate communications with key stakeholders and functional members.

Required Work Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, and support functions.
- Proven track record in leading resources and manufacturing assets to deliver expected financial results while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Required Education/Certification
- Minimum 4 years college level degree (Chemical - preferred, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering), MBA or being a Professional Engineer (or Equivalent) an Advantage.
