Summary

This position is open to qualified and highly committed students enrolled in college located locally to the Hemlock Semiconductor site.  It allows the selected student to work side-by-side with IT personnel to assist with development and maintenance of various IT applications such as custom web applications and Critical Manufacturing. This role is a year-round position while the student is simultaneously taking classes.

Essential Functions

The student will be assigned tasks and projects based on their education level, current skills, and targeted development opportunities in line with current business and project needs.  This can include:

  • Understand current set of custom web applications across multiple technologies
  • Build new applications and/ or make changes to current applications
  • Develop and test code for the user stories associated with the Critical Manufacturing implementation project
  • Prepare technical documentation and test scripts for the developed/ changed functionality

Required Work Experience

  • The candidate must attend a 4-year university and pursue a certificate or degree in a similar field of study 

  • Minimum cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scale 

  •  Must be full-time student (12 or more credits) during fall and winter semesters 

  •  The candidate must be able to work full time during the duration of the summer internship 

  • The candidate must be within driving distance to the site and have reliable transportation 

Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, variable bonus, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
