Summary

Hemlock Semiconductor Operations is seeking Information Technology (IT) students for summer internship positions at our manufacturing facility located in Hemlock Michigan. Summer interns are assigned challenging projects that provide hands-on, practical work experience that is aligned to the student’s current level of coursework and skills. 

Projects may include one or more of the following areas:

• Application Development
• Data Analytics, Machine Learning and AI
• Infrastructure (Network, Hosting)
• Cyber Security

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering.
• Completion of freshman, sophomore or junior year.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.70/4.0 (no rounding).
• Must work full-time (40 hours a week) for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer months.
• Proof, upon hire, of unrestricted U.S. employment authorization is required. Unrestricted work status is defined as: Work authorization that has no end date or specific employer restrictions. Employment based visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Position Requirements:

• Exposure to digital development technology such as Web Development, MS SQL Server, .NET, Python, R, Microsoft 0365, MS SharePoint, TIBCO Spotfire, SAP S/4HANA.
• Exposure to general networking and infrastructure concepts for server, storage, hosting, operations systems.
• Fundamentals of cyber security.
• Demonstrated high level of integrity, thoroughness, flexibility, initiative, and teamwork.
• Excellent written and oral English communication and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Project leadership skills
